As we kick off 2012, we wanted to take a look back at what Yu Ming has accomplished — with the help of our amazing parents, volunteers and supporters — since opening its doors on August 16th.
Together we have:
- Served 4,235 delicious hot meals
- Logged 1,766 hours of volunteer time IN SCHOOL
- Learned 70 English sight words
- Taught 48 Kung Fu Lite lessons
- Learned 16 Chinese songs
- Received 8 visits from our local librarian for Chinese storytelling
- Celebrated 3 festivals: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Winter Holidays
- Taken 2 field trips: to a pumpkin patch in Fremont and to the theater in San Francisco
- Seen countless smiles on the faces of our 105 happy students.
