We’ll be serving hosted h’oeuvres from 5:30p-6:15p. Wines are hosted by our sponsors PonyTail Realty Rocky’s Market all evening. Street parking should be accessible within 1-2 blocks, or parking at the hotel is $25 if you mention that you’re with the Yu Ming Benefit in the Jr Ballroom.

Please check in at registration and pickup your name tag and your table name card. Open seating, first come first serve. Your menu selection is on your table name card so your server knows which entree to give you.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at our annual Auction & Benefit (formerly “Yu Ming Gala”)! This amazing fundraiser accounts for more than 50% of all funds our school raises during the year – funds that support core staff and programs including our reading specialists, teaching assistants, programs in music, art, technology, and more.

With your help, last year we raised a record amount for our school. We’re hoping to repeat that success this year with a whimsical CIRQUE-inspired event featuring: dinner, drinks, silent & live auctions, performances, & our ‘Totally Awesome’ live 80s cover band ‘the Spazmatics’ performing for us once again!

Date: Saturday March 25, 2017, 5:30-10:30pm
Location: Oakland Marriott City Center, 1001 Broadway, Oakland, California 94607
Attire: Your favorite dressy/fun outfits, masquerade masks encouraged

We’re finalizing our guest count for the hotel, please try to purchase your tickets by Monday 3.20 as we’d love to see you there! Purchase tickets online or drop a check off at school with the following information:

* please make check payable to Yu Ming Charter School and deposit in the lockbox at either Alcatraz or Herzog, with the word “Cirque” and the name, email address, and dinner selection (fish, chicken or vegetarian) for each guest. List names of attendees in the memo field, or write “staff” to help sponsor a staff member. There are three ticketing options:

  • General Admission: $100
  • Subsidized: $60
  • Sponsor a Staff member : $60
