Kenneth Maxey II

Kenneth E. Maxey II has over two decades of experience working to uplift communities across California. 15 years of which he has been serving as the Director of Government Affairs for Comcast.
Prior to joining Comcast, Mr. Maxey worked for nationally recognized leaders such as US Senator Adam Schiff, former DNC Chair Governor Howard Dean, State Treasurer Phil Angelides, LA County Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke and United States of America President Barack H. Obama.
Mr. Maxey has been instrumental in developing cross cultural partnerships through his corporate and nonprofit leadership with Comcast and the Urban League of Greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Mr. Maxey was recently recognized by the Black Women for Political Action as Man of the Year, Ghandi Award from the Indo American Community Foundation, emerging leader from the California NAACP Youth & College Division and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference SoCal Chapter.
Mr. Maxey currently serves on multiple boards which include Kids Teach Tech, California Board of Vocational Nurses & Psychiatric Technician, Yu Ming Chinese Immersion School, and currently serves as the Board Chair of the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. He is also co-founder of the California Democratic Party Young Black Caucus and the New Leaders Council Los Angeles chapter.
Mr. Maxey received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Howard University, a Master’s in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University and Bachelors in Political Science. He has received professional certificates from University of California Berkeley Haas Business School, the University of Virginia Darden Business School.
His proudest achievement is being a Girl Dad to Maya who recently traveled with him to walk across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma Alabama to honor the 60 th anniversary of Bloody Sunday.
