Michael McDaniel, Jr. is the Lead Family Organizer/Political Director for Families In Action For Quality Education. He is also the father of four and a retired US Army veteran. As a native of Oakland, he has seen the impact that racial inequity can have on education and a person’s future. Since joining FIA in December of 2020, he has been dedicated to the fight for equity in the city of Oakland.
