Shivani Savdharia has worked in education for twenty years. She began her teaching career as a bilingual educator for the Peace Corps in Nicaragua. Since then she has primarily taught mathematics at various independent schools across the Bay Area, including The Nueva School, Julia Morgan School for Girls and The Athenian School.
Shivani is also a former learning and development lead for IDEO, a leading global design and innovation firm, and continues to bring her design-thinking background to strengthen school communities. She earned both her B.A. in Economics and M.A. in Education along with her CA Teaching Credential from UC Berkeley.
When not at Yu Ming, she can be found exploring local farmers markets, hiking around redwoods, spending the day gardening with her husband, or getting lost in arts and craft with her two kids, fellow Yu Ming Dragons!
